Boeing donates $10 million to support veterans' programs and services

DALLAS. Boeing has awarded $10 million to the George W. Bush Institute's Military Service Initiative in support of veterans' programs and services. The Boeing donation is part of a $30 million multiyear investment intended to support veteran recovery and rehabilitation programs and military transition services.
Boeing officials say that the company's contribution to the Bush Institute's Military Service Initiative will support the first year of the Stand-To Veteran Leadership Initiative, the Domestic Excellence Endowment Fund, and sponsorship of former president Bush's Portraits of Courage traveling art exhibit. The Bush Institute launched the programs to aid post-9/11 veterans and their families, enabling successful transitions back into civilian life with a focus on gaining meaningful employment and overcoming brain injury and post-traumatic stress.
Dennis Muilenburg, Boeing chairman, president, and CEO, said "Through our support of the Military Service Initiative, we plan to ease the burden of the military-to-civilian transition experience for service members and ensure our heroes are equipped with the resources and health services necessary to succeed in their next mission after military service."
