Axnes announces new US Management

Grimstad, Norway, April 28, 2021 - Mission Wireless ICS innovator and leader Axnes has announced today that it has appointed Markus Schmitz as Managing Director of its US operation.
Markus is a Senior Leadership Executive with over 20 years-experience, with a comprehensive background in running both international and domestic aviation and defense companies. His sector expertise spans from helicopter OEM Airbus Helicopter, avionics supplier Becker Avionics and rugged defense networking specialist OnTime Networks, earning a reputation for building strong teams with a history of delivering shareholder value. Most recently, he was the Managing Director of OnTime Networks’ US subsidiary, working with a wide-range of defense contractors and US DOD branches, as well as spearheading the business development and capture management activities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, resulting in large scale military ground program wins.
Markus holds a Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Applied Science of Aachen and an MBA in Corporate Finance from the University of Dallas.
