COPENHAGEN, Denmark. Northrop Grumman and Danish aircraft-component contractor Terma have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), under which Terma will continue to collaborate with Northrop Grumman beyond their current contracted agreements for the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter.
The memorandum states that Northrop Grumman will offer Terma the opportunity to obtain continued component work for the F-35 beyond low rate initial production (LRIP) Lot 11, provided that Terma remains the best-value source. Terma entered into a long-term agreement with Northrop Grumman in 2012 to manufacture composite and bonded assembly parts for all three variants of the F-35.
Terma currently has eight different production programs focused on advanced composite structural parts and electronic systems on the F-35.
