FORT WORTH, Texas. Lockheed Martin Corp. won a $536 million contract modification from the U.S. Air Force for sustaining the F-22 Raptor.
This award falls under a Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) contract providing weapon systems sustainment of the F-22 fleet at all operational bases for the 2017 calendar year.
Lockheed Martin delivers sustainment services to the F-22 fleet via a U.S. Air Force-awarded PBL contract and a comprehensive weapons management program called Follow-on Agile Sustainment for the Raptor (FASTeR). As the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and support integrator for the F-22 Raptor, Lockheed Martin personnel work closely with the U.S. Air Force to integrate a total life-cycle systems management process for the Raptor fleet.
The U.S. has deployed F-22s to Asia and Europe to enhance security commitments and bolster strategic partnerships with allies. The aircraft are also operating in the Middle East where they support Operation Inherent Resolve.
