SAN JOSE, CA. The LDRA Compliance Management System (LCMS), a resource for developing infrastructure that supports DO-178B/C, DO-278A, and DO-254 compliancy, has been released by LDRA. LCMS ensures certification readiness through a process that includes LDRA Certification Services (LCS) professionals support from development and production through the maintenance lifecycle.
LCMS combines detailed certification document templates with LCS consultation and training to guide avionics companies through creating the planning and lifecycle documents, process checklists, and problem reports required for certification. Developed by Systems and Equipment Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs), the certification management process aids in gaining compliance with ARP-4754A, ARP-4761, DO-178B/C, DO-278A, DO-254, and DO-297 aviation standards.
LCMS can be integrated with the LDRA tool suite to match verification processes with the certification processes outlined by the FAA and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The system is also available in both local and cloud-based environments.
“Today’s software systems, with all of their safety-critical electronics, represent a complex matrix of specifications, interrelationships, and proofs that the system fully functions as intended,” says Todd White, FAA DER. “We developed the LDRA Compliance Management System to bring clients into compliance as easily and efficiently as possible.”
