F-16 cockpit receives digital upgrade with LITENING G4

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. Air Force Reserve Command and Air National Guard have selected Northrop Grumman Corp. to upgrade the F-16 cockpit to digital, high detention video from the AN/AAQ-28 (V) LITENING G4 Advanced Targeting System. The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract has a production value estimating $74 million.
According to officials, the upgrade gives pilots access to high definition sensors and advanced image processing, giving them image clarity and situational awareness.
Under contract, Northrop Grumman will provide upgrades and spares for Air Force Reserve Command and Air National Guard LITENING G4 targeting pods.
