Rugged Remote Data Concentrator (RDC) systems acquire information in real time with no NRE
Eletter ProductRemote data concentrators (RDCs) collect, process and format aircraft sensor data into a common digital output that is delivered to mission computers and other cockpit avionics. NAI’s series of off-the-shelf RDCs RDC-31CP0B (1-slot), RDC-33CP0B (3-slot), RDC-35CP0B (5-slot), are based on flexible I/Os and diverse configurations that handle a host of sensor inputs and other avionics functions in modern military aircraft. These RDCs serve as remote interface network-centric capable data hubs (i.e. in proximity to associated sensors and actuators) for processing discrete, analog and digital inputs from various aircraft sensors and sub-systems.
NAI’s rugged high-speed, modular Analog, Digital and Communications interface and conversion devices are designed for Mil-Aero avionics systems like fixed-wing, rotorcraft and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) platforms. These preconfigured RDCs support applications requiring A/D, D/A, RTD, Thermocouple, Discrete I/O as well as Serial, ARINC 429/575 and CANBus for sensor interface or subsystem communications. The RDCs can be deployed quickly with no NRE costs and are a perfect fit for applications where compact, low-power systems are required. See each SWaP-optimized RDC system for exact module complement.
With its adaptable modular, Custom-On-Standard Architecture™ (COSA®), NAI’s integrated RDCs seamlessly integrate with its’ intelligent, programmable, multifunction I/O modules – containing the highest packaging density and greatest flexibility of any multifunction I/O modules in the industry. COSA enables the delivery of interoperable and field-proven systems (or subsystems) designed to withstand the rigors of harsh environments.
