Air Force gives Diligent, KIHOMAC green light for A-10 embedded avionics system

SAN ANTONIO, Texas. Diligent Consulting, a federal information technology (IT) services company, has announced that it has secured a $940,891 contract to support Ki Ho Military Acquisition Consulting (KIHOMAC--Reston, Virginia) in providing software sustainment engineering and support IT services at Hill Air Force Base in Utah for the A-10C Operational Flight Program (OFP).
The A-10 Thunderbolt single-seat, straight-wing jet -- commonly referred to as the "Warthog" or "Hog," -- is used for close air support of ground troops and quick-action support for troops against helicopters and ground forces.
Diligent and its partner will develop avionics system and subsystem designs including software (operational, supporting, and utility), test procedures (manual and automated), configuration management, data archiving, and product delivery. The A-10 OFP contract was awarded under the Design and Engineering Support Program (DESP) III indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract.
