AI services to be provided to JAIC by Booz Allen Hamilton

MCLEAN, Va. Booz Allen Hamilton announced that the company has won a five-year, $800 million contract by the GSA’s Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM) and the Department of Defense to provide artificial intelligence (AI) services to support the Joint AI Center (JAIC).

Under this task order, awarded through the GSA Alliant 2 Governmentwide Acquisition Contract, Booz Allen will aim to support the JAIC’s Joint Warfighting National Mission Initiative (JWNMI), serving as the prime systems integrator in the development of new AI technologies and products to intended to improve operational effectiveness in all domains.

In this capacity, Booz Allen will coordinate and work closely with industry to source and integrate the best technologies to meet JWNMI's complex requirements and deliver its AI capabilities. The JAIC was established by the DoD in 2018 to utilize the transformative potential of AI technology for the benefit of U.S. national security. In 2019, the JAIC announced intentions to expand its focus to include joint warfighting operations.

This task order, orchestrated by GSA FEDSIM, will include a range of technical services and workforce training, such as data engineering, machine learning model development, AI product integration, and transition of AI-enabled solutions into new and existing programs and systems across the Defense Department.
