OTTAWA, ONTARIO. Larus Technologies Corporation has released the Total::Insight High-Level Information Fusion Engine (HLIFE). Total::Insight is a COTS software analytics engine for use in C4ISR systems. The multi-source, multi-sensor software operates from levels 2, 3, or 4 of the DoD Joint Director of Laboratories (JDL) information fusion model.
Total::Insight leverages adaptive behavioral learning algorithms and predictive modeling algorithms to improve situational awareness. The engine’s computer intelligence capablities include situational and procedural learning, automated anomaly detection, threat and response assessment, and trajectory prediction.
Total::Insight uses a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), which allows it to support a variety of structured and unstructured data sources. It is able to interface with existing L0/L1 trackers and correlators, supporting multiple trackers simultaneously. As it is network enabled and distributed, Total::Insight is scalable to thousands of nodes.
“In order to optimize situational awareness for decision makers in theater, ISR systems must be able to handle massive amounts of structured and unstructured data while rapidly and accurately detecting anomalous behavior within specific areas and periods of interest,” says Dr. Rami Abielmona, Vice President of Research and Engineering at Larus Technologies. “Total::Insight enables this. The licensable software components easily integrate with existing fusion architectures to provide a flexible and scalable foundation for next-generation air, land, and maritime C4ISR and Security applications.”
Larus will demonstrate Total:Insight May 29-30 at booth #1908 at CANSEC 2013. A Larus white paper, "Total Maritime Domain Awareness," covers the impact of information fusion in more detail. It can be downloaded at http://www.larus.com/total-maritime-domain-awareness/.
