SAN DIEGO. U.S. Navy's unmanned aerial system (UAS), MQ-8C Fire Scout - built by Northrop Grumman - completed an operational assessment with Cubic Global Defense?s Wide Band Line of Sight (WBLOS) data link system.
The data link simultaneously enables Ku Band transmissions of two Miniature Multiband Transceivers (MMT). The MMT is a software-defined radio that can be used with a standard, bandwidth-efficient Common Data Link (CDL), and other waveforms.
To date, Cubic has delivered over 20 units in production and spares.
