Lockheed Martin obtains $161 million tactical-missile contract from U.S. Army

BETHESDA, Md. Lockheed Martin has secured a contract worth $161.4 million from the U.S. Army to produce 150 tactical-missile systems and guided-missile launch assemblies under the Army Tactical Missile System (ATacMS) Guided Missile and Launching Assembly (GMLA) Service Life Extension Program.
ATaCMS is a surface-to-surface missile (SSM) with a range of over 100 miles that can be fired from multiple types of rocket launchers.
Under the terms of the contract, work will be performed at Lockheed Martin facilities in Texas, Arkansas, Vermont, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Missouri, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. Work on the missiles and assemblies is estimated to be completed in February 2020.
