WATERLOO, Ontario. Pixus Technologies introduced the Mini Cube, its smallest test and development chassis yet, specifically designed for prototyping 3U OpenVPX and systems aligned to the Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) Technical Standard, the company announced.
This new offering aims to streamline the development process for embedded computing systems. The Mini Cube is equipped with five VPX/SOSA aligned slots, which can be powered by a VITA 62 PSU or, alternatively, four slots with Pixus's own 600W modular power supply featuring universal AC input, the company says, adding that the chassis supports various backplane configurations catering to different speeds and slot profiles.
The Mini Cube is designed for versatility and ease of use, featuring a foldable carry handle and flip-up feet for stable and presentable positioning, and it also accommodates Rear Transition Modules (RTMs), the statement continues.
