TUCSON, Ariz. Raytheon has won a $17.77 million firm-fixed-price contract to procure 114 High Speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM) command launch computers for the U.S. Navy.
According to information from Raytheon, HARM's mission is to suppress or destroy surface-to-air missile radar and radar-directed air defense artillery systems. It can operate in three modes in the air: preemptive, missile-as-sensors, and self-protect.
Under the terms of the contract -- to include two preproduction units, one first article test unit, and 111 production units -- work will be performed at Raytheon's plant in Tucson, Arizona and will be completed in October 2021.
