Sensor system from Saab ordered for Sweden's ground-based air defense

LINKÖPING, Sweden. Saab reports signing a contract with the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration to provide an integrated sensor and command-and-control system for use with ground-based air defense.
Under the terms of the approximately 2.1 billion SEK ($235.3 million) agreement, Saab will furnish Sweden's defense ministry with the SaabGiraffe 4A multifunctional radar plus upgrades of the Swedish armed forces’ existing Giraffe AMB surface radars. Saab is also tasked with furnishing extensive integration of the air defense battalions’ fire units.
Saab will carry out the work under the contract in Gothenburg, Järfälla, Arboga, and Halmstad in Sweden.
