AESA radar, electronic warfare upgrades made to Korean military aircraft

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. Raytheon won a contract with BAE Systems to support the Republic of Korea's fleet's upgrade of more than 130 KF-16C/D Block 52 aircraft. As a subcontractor to BAE Systems, Raytheon will provide their Advanced Combat Radar (RACR), the ALR-69A all-digital radar warning receiver, advanced mission computing technology, and weapon systems integration.

This contract will add the F-16 Fighting Falcon to the roster of fighters upgraded with Raytheon AESA radars (F-15C, F-15E, F/A-18E/F, and the EA-18G Growler). Raytheon's F-16 avionics includes mission critical avionics systems including mission computers, Anti-Jam GPS receivers, electronic warfare systems, and various weapons.
