Delta Digital Video Introduces H.265 4-Channel HD/SD Video Encoder Supporting Multi-Channel Video Transmission Applications
Press ReleaseFebruary 10, 2021
Delta Digital Video is excited to announce the launch of a new addition to the line of high-quality, low bandwidth H.265 video encoders! The Model 7841 4-Channel H.265 Video Encoder is an HD/SD video encoder designed to support any multi-channel video transmission application.
The new Model 7841 compresses video and audio signals, multiplexing them with metadata and other system information for real-time video transmission applications. The 7841 is capable of simultaneously encoding four channels of video with high-quality resolutions up to 1080p.
The Model 7841 provides users flexibility through simultaneous support for H.265 (HEVC) and H.264 (AVC) encoding algorithms, along with both HD/SD-SDI and composite video formats. It is built on an advanced, low-power multimedia architecture that provides the horsepower for the computationally intensive H.265 algorithm, providing superior bandwidth efficiency for multi-channel applications. This increased efficiency allows for more channels to be transmitted over a given bandwidth, better quality video for constrained bandwidth applications, or lower bandwidth operation.
“Our commercial video encoders are built on the same architecture as our successful rugged encoders, ensuring continuous operation, performance, and reliability” said George Nelson, Vice President / General Manager of Delta Digital Video. “Our video encoders compress and multiplex sensor video, audio, and metadata for real-time, low latency transmission to downstream processing, exploitation, and dissemination (PED) systems and mission critical applications.”
