RF research to get support from new $24 million contract, says AFRL

McLean, VA. Defense intelligence company Altamira Technologies has been awarded a contract by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) for $24.6 million to provide next-generation radio frequency (RF) sensing technologies through advanced research and development of RF systems and subsystems.
The five-year contract will support the development of innovative solutions applying distributed radio frequency sensing (DRS) to contested and congested spectrum environments.
Under the terms of the contract, Altamira will focus on advancements in technology areas such as advanced waveform design, adaptive signal processing, cognitive radio, distributed sensing, and passive sensing.
