Harris and Brocade establish a cybersecurity partnership at Federal Forum 2016

WASHINGTON. Harris and Brocade officials established a strategic partnership to provide cybersecurity solutions to meet the demands in sectors such as government, financial services, healthcare, oil and gas, and energy. The announcement was made at this year's Federal Forum, where officials say as the partnership progresses, Brocade and Harris expect to create additional solutions to address more cybersecurity challenges.
Under this partnership, the companies intend to develop new solutions that will integrate Brocade’s software-defined networking (SDN) capabilities with Harris' cybersecurity technology. Engineers demonstrated a proof-of-concept at the Federal Forum, showing how cyber maneuvers allow organizations to thwart cyberattacks on critical assets.
“Strengthening the cybersecurity of federal and financial networks is one of the most important challenges facing our nation,” says Ken Cheng, chief technology officer, Brocade. “Together with Harris, we will develop new solutions that leverage New IP architectures, providing a secure and automated network to improve federal agencies’ and financial institutions’ resilience to cyberattacks.”
Carl D’Alessandro, president, Harris Critical Networks says, “our strategic partnership with Brocade will allow us to extend our expertise in protecting government assets to other markets.”
