WASHINGTON. The U.S. Air Force has awarded Radiant Geospatial Solutions (Ypsilanti, Michigan, a Maxar company) a $14.2 million contract for Red Wing Next Generation Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Cloud.
Under the terms of the contract, Radiant is to deliver an automated and efficient workflow for a national system of geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) analysis by reducing latency for product generation, exploitation, and intelligence gathering. The contract will widen the use of Amazon managed services through careful assessment of emerging offerings and is aimed at, say Air Force officials, improving resiliency, reducing cost, and lowering exposure to cyberthreats.
Work -- which is is scheduled to be completed by August 2021 -- will be performed in Ypsilanti, Michigan; and Herndon, Virginia.
