ATLANTA, Ga. The U.S. Air Force is investing in the Hermeus Corporation, a United States-based aerospace company, via a $60 million jointly funded contract intended to accelerate the development of hypersonic aircraft and propulsion systems.

WASHINGTON. Satellite provider Hughes Network Systems and low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite internet company OneWeb have been chosen by the U.S. Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) to demonstrate managed LEO satellite communications (SATCOM) services to connect the Arctic region to sites around the globe and facilitate tactical communications.

Albuquerque, N. M. Verus Research has won a contract from the Air Force Research Laboratory’s (AFRL) Space Vehicles Directorate, the center for space technology research and development, as part of the AFRL's $9.7 million, five-year Research Options for Space Enterprise Technologies (ROSET) project, which focuses on future space communications.

MEASURE, an aerial intelligence company, announced that the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) has awarded the company a contract to develop and deliver software solutions to support drone operations within Air Force Civil Engineering and Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operational Repair Squadron Engineer (RED HORSE) squadrons. Jesse Stepler, Co-Founder, Chief Strategy Officer, and Head of Product at MEASURE, will serve as Principal Investigator.
