Comtech Telecommunications obtains $14.5 million contract add-on for USMC satellite services

MELVILLE, N.Y. Comtech Telecommunications Corp. announced that its Command & Control Technologies group -- which is part of Comtech?s Government Solutions segment -- has received a $14.5 million contract modification from the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) that will result in the exercise of the fourth-year option under an existing contract to provide Ku satellite bandwidth and support services for the U.S. Marine Corps Tactical Satellite Communications Network.
The additional option year covers the period from August 1, 2017 through July 31, 2018; the Marine Corps has now expended $73.0 million to date on this contract.
Under the terms of the contract, Comtech will continue to provide the Marine Corps with commercial satellite services to various terminals to extend the Marine Corps Enterprise Network for deployed users.
