Kontron introduces new COM Express modules designed for harsh environments at MILCOM

SAN DIEGO, CA. At the MILCOM conference in San Diego, Kontron announced its new COM Express Computer-on-Module (COM). Designed for harsh environments, the COMe-bIP6RXT features extended temperature (-40 °C to +85 °C) operations with ECC and rapid shutdown capabilities, and also provides improved power ratio as well as increased processing and graphics performance.

The Kontron COMe-bIP6RXT is available in a Type 6 pin-out, and has 4x USB 3.0, an integrated Intel GMA HD 4000 iGFX graphics processor, PCIe Gen 3.0, DirectX 11 interface support, and Trusted Platform Management. It also supports a wide variety of standard display interfaces, from legacy VGA and LVDS to the latest specifications such as HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort, and eDP. The Kontron COMe-bIP6RXT has up to 16 GB of DDR3 RAM ECC memory, and is compliant with the latest COM Express specification that offers up to seven PCI Express Gen 2.0 lanes in the pin-out Type 6 configurations.

Kontron is now accepting orders for the COMe-bIP6RXT, with production scheduled to start before the end of 2013.
