DoD signs 15 companies to $28 billion tech R and D contract

ARLINGTON, Va. The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) has signed 15 companies to its unrestricted full-and-open track of a potential nine-year, $28 billion contract vehicle for technology research and development (R&D) services.

The companies -- through the Air Force Installation Contracting Agency (AFICA)/KD [Offutt AFB, Nebraska] -- will provide R&D solutions and support for DoD Information Analysis Center Program Management Office (DoD IAC PMO), sponsored by the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC).

According to a DoD document, the companies will vie for at least $15 million in task orders under Pool 1 of the Defense Technical Information Center’s Information Analysis Center Multi-Award Contract.

The companies are AECOM’s URS Federal Services business, Adams Communications & Engineering Technology, Alion Science and Technology, BAE Systems, Battelle, Booz Allen Hamilton, Engility, General Dynamics information-technology business (through CSRA), Georgia Tech Applied Research, KBRWyle, Leidos, MacAulay-Brown, ManTech International, Raytheon, Southwest Research Institute.
