Cloud computing solution from Lockheed Martin UK being adopted by UK Cabinet office to create Cloudstore

BETHESDA, Md. Officials at the United Kingdom Cabinet Office chose G-Cloud computing services from Lockheed Martin UK across its government organizations and departments. The agreement will be dubbed CloudStore and will run for about six to nine months, with a potential for rolling contract extensions.
Engineers at Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Solutions will provide a range of cloud computing services such as cloud security services; cloud strategy and integration services; mission centric services; cloud brokering services; green IT and energy optimization services; virtualization consulting; as well as assessments for Oracle virtualization and virtual desktop as a service assessments.
The Lockheed Martin cloud-computing solution – called Solutions as a Service or SolaS – consists of different offerings that are scaleable for designing cost-effective, secure platforms.
