LynuxWorks announces FAA-certified LynxOS-178 2.2.3 RTOS for Power Architecture-based avionics

SAN JOSE, CA. LynuxWorks, Inc., announced at the EE Live! conference the upcoming availability of LynxOS-178 v2.2.3, which is an FAA Level A certified Real-Time Operating System (RTOS). This updated RTOS offers many new features for avionics developers of Power Architecture-based platforms.
"With this latest version of LynxOS-178, LynuxWorks is offering its industry-leading safety critical RTOS for use on the next generation of avionics platforms built using the Power Architecture processors,” says John Blevins, Director of Product Marketing at LynuxWorks. “New optimizations in the product will also offer better performance and memory utilization for avionics developers to manage the Size, Weight, Power, and Cost (SWaP-C) for their new designs."
The updated LynxOS-178 2.2.3 is based on a new set of Power Architecture-optimized tools to provide easy migration for existing designs. The RTOS also offers a FACE Application Programming Interface (API) and a native POSIX API.
