HELSINKI, Finland. Senop Oy will develop advanced night vision devices for the Finnish Defence Forces’ Logistics Command, the company announced in a statement.

This partnership focuses on enhancing the Finnish Army's night fighting capabilities through the creation of domestically-produced night vision equipment, aiming to combine high performance, security of supply, cost-effectiveness, and compatibility with current and future Finnish soldier systems, the statement reads.

The development includes new night vision goggles utilizing M20 technology with improved ergonomics and a new helmet mount, tactical thermal binoculars featuring uncooled thermal camera technology, and a multipurpose fire control system for various weapon platforms -- features that are tailored specifically for the Finnish Defence Forces, the company says.

The agreement also opens possibilities for other countries to join in the development of these night vision devices at a later stage.
