McLEAN, Va. Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) has won two tactical training systems contracts with the Naval Air Warfare Center China Lake: The first is for aircrew electronic warfare (EW) tactical training, with the multiple-award, indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery (ID/IQ) accord having a total ceiling value of $249 million. 

ARLINGTON, Va. The U.S. Army recently awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract for its new Combat Net Radio (CNR) modernization project to L3Harris Technologies (Rochester, New York) and Thales Defense Security (Clarksburg, Maryland).

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. Collins Aerospace has won a second low-rate production order -- valued at $24 million -- for its Tactical Combat Training System – Increment II (TCTS II) Air Combat Training System from the U.S. Navy. 

ARLINGTON, Va. CAES has won a Low Rate Initial Production Phase 1 (LRIP1) contract with Lockheed Martin to supply phased-array antennas for the Lockheed Martin Advanced Off-Board Electronic Warfare (AOEW) system it supplies to the U.S. Navy.  

MELBOURNE, Fla. L3Harris Technologies has signed a contract worth a potential $593 million that calls for the company to develop passive sensor technology for the U.S. Navy’s shipboard surveillance, detection, and cueing capabilities.

Military rotorcraft maker Bell Textron has signed a teaming agreement with Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) that will add SNC to the Bell Textron team that is working on the Bell 360 Invictus competitive prototype as part of the U.S. Army’s Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) program.

ARLINGTON, Va. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has embarked on a new program to develop and validate high-frequency (HF) propagation models that seek to enhance warfighting capabilities across the military domains -- air, sea, space, and land.

PHOENIX. Honeywell reports that it successfully demonstrated several advanced sensor-based alternative-navigation technologies aimed at ensuring seamless navigation for fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft in GPS-denied environments. 

BOULDER, Colo. Northrop Grumman has won a contract worth $99.6 million from the U.S. Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific to provide mission-critical capabilities for Relay Ground Station-Asia (RGS-A) under which the company will design, develop, integrate, test, and deliver the first of the next-generation relay ground stations to support legacy and future missile-launch and missile-warning detection satellites.

TUCSON, Ariz. Raytheon Missiles & Defense has secured a potential five-year, $1.68 billion contract from the U.S. Navy to provide modernization, activation, and sustainment support for the infrastructure and mission systems of Zumwalt-class guided missile destroyers.
