NEW YORK, N.Y. Clarifai, company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) lifecycle platforms for managing unstructured image, video, audio and text data, announced that it has entered into a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC), C5ISR Center, Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD).

ISRAEL. The Directorate of Defense R&D in the Ministry of Defense (MoD), together with Elbit Systems and the Israeli Air Force (IAF), has intercepted several unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) using an airborne High-Power Laser Weapon System (HPL-WS). The UAVs were intercepted at various ranges and flight altitudes.

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. TEVET, a test and measurement supplier, announced the company has acquired LibertyGT from RADX Technologies, Inc. LibertyGT is a real-time spectrum analysis (RTSA) RF record and playback system that brings distinct flexibility and high precision to electronic warfare and 5G applications.

EUROPE. Milrem Robotics announced that the company will present their Type-X Robotic Combat Vehicle (RCV) designed to meet the U.S. Army’s RCV-M program at this year’s Military RAS USA Conference.

SUNNYVALE, Calif. Spectranetix, Inc., a Pacific Defense company, announced deliveries of their 3U OpenVPX ruggedized chassis to the U.S. Army, Canadian Ministry of Defense, and U.S. prime contractors. 

ARLINGTON, Va. CACI International announced that the U.S. Army’s C5ISR Center Electronic Warfare Air/Ground Survivability Division (EWAGS) has awarded CACI a four-year $82 million contract to continue support for the Army’s cyber and ground electronic warfare (EW) missions.

DENVER, Colo. The fifth Lockheed Martin-built Global Positioning System III (GPS III) satellite is now headed to its orbit 12,550 miles above earth. The company claims that this marks another step in supporting the U.S. Space Force's GPS satellite constellation modernization efforts.

FORT WORTH, Texas. U.S.  Army active duty and National Guard rotary-wing aviation units will receive an upgrade to their AN/AVS-6 Aviator's Night Vision Imaging Systems (ANVIS) with high performance white phosphor image intensifier tubes to be provided by Elbit Systems of America – Night Vision.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. announced that it has been named by the federal government as one of the first two Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Third Party Assessment Organizations (C3PAO). As a C3PAO, Kratos will be able to conduct CMMC Level 1-3 assessments once the government completes certain preparatory and authorization steps.

WILSONVILLE, Ore. Teledyne FLIR, part of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, announced it has won a contract to develop a mass-wearable chemical detector for U.S. troops under the Pentagon’s Compact Vapor Chemical Agent Detector (CVCAD) program. The company received $4.0 million in initial funding.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. Phase Four, the creator of the radio-frequency thruster for satellite propulsion, announced that it will expand its Maxwell turn-key plasma propulsion line and offer satellite manufacturers a long-term subscription service called P4 Pass. 

FALLS CHURCH, Va. Northrop Grumman announced the integration of its electronic warfare (EW) suite for the global F-16 fleet. Known as the ALQ-131C, the company claims that this fully modernized, digital system is ready to defend against current and future threats.

GERMANY. Sensor specialist HENSOLDT announced it will modernize the test equipment of the artillery location radar COBRA, which is in service with several NATO armies. Under the contract, HENSOLDT claims it will replace the COBRA Radar Environment Simulator (CRES), which is designed for determining optimum deployment and testing system performance.

AUSTRALIA. BAE Systems Australia announced that the company will introduce technologies to enable strategic data-driven decision making in real time across the Hobart Class Destroyer Enterprise.

FALLS CHURCH, Va. Northrop Grumman Corporation announced it has launched the Tactically Responsive Launch-2 (TacRL-2) payload into orbit for the U.S. Space Force (USSF), using the company’s Pegasus XL rocket. TacRL-2 was launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base.

WASHINGTON. The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) has issued a Request for Prototype Proposal (RPP) to the members of the National Spectrum Consortium (NSC) in support of 5G Telemedicine and Medical Training research and technology development.

WESTBOROUGH, Mass. Kopin Corporation, a provider of high resolution microdisplays for augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), announced it has received an approximately $1.6 million follow-on order of its high-brightness liquid crystal display for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program.

ARLINGTON, Va. Leonardo DRS, Inc. announced that it is providing next-generation joint-service situational awareness radio systems for U.S. military customers and allied nations. The next-generation Joint Tactical Terminal (JTT-NG) will aim to upgrade legacy systems currently in operation on air, land, and sea platforms across all Joint Forces.
